A number of universities and colleges across the United States offer Military Degrees (Completion Programs for Military Personnel). Whether you are seeking to gain an associate, bachelor or graduate degree to complement and advance your current military career or wish to enter civilian life and commence a related or new profession, a number of intriguing and relevant military degrees are available.

The process is flexible to meet your current schedule and needs. You can choose between studying full time, part time or remotely (i.e. online) and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs offers several education benefit programs, such as the Yellow Ribbon Program and the Post 9/11 GI Bill, to help fund your studies.

With the option of pursuing a Political Science and Government Degree at the Bachelors or Masters level, military personnel will delve into areas that they have directly witnessed in the field, including the subject of defense and security policy. Such a program also compares American policy and government processes to those all over the world and across time. In addition to military law, students will cover concepts such as political philosophy, the legislative process, criminal justice and the interaction between society and political bodies.

Law Enforcement & Security Degree

If you are interested in working as a law enforcement and/or security professional, then an Associate or Bachelor degree in Criminal Justice with a specialization in Law Enforcement would be an ideal educational pursuit. Before narrowing in on policing and enforcing safety and laws, you will study a broad overview of the American criminal justice system.
