United States Supreme Court

The United States Supreme Court is made up of one Chief Justice, and eight Associate Justices, all of whom are nominated for life time appointments to the Court. Once an individual is nominated by the President of the United States they must be confirmed by the US Senate. The Court heads the Judicial Branch of the Federal government, as defined by the United States Constitution. The Court is often called the supreme law of the land.
